On New Year’s Eve 2022, I received a message on Instagram from a friend I had not spoken to in over a decade. We had been close in college, spending most of our time together playing and writing music. We got to talking, and before I knew it, I was writing music again. I had not completed a piece since 2010. In February 2023, I completed “Return”.
